Dave attended Southern Illinois University with a major in Business Administration. He got his start in the industry back in the early 1990s as a concrete contractor and quickly found his passion for demolition, working from the bottom up.
Originally starting out as a laborer, Dave has since worked in every position throughout the industry, from operator to project manager. In the early 2000s, he moved to Chicago, where he met Don Collier. He then later moved to Florida, where he was the Vice President of Demolition Services for a civil and demolition contractor. In this role, he was the lead project manager for the Red Side Parking implosion at the Tampa International Airport.
Today, Dave continues to build upon 26 years of experience leading demo project management teams as Director of Operations for MILBURN Southeast's operations. His methods are proven across a broad spectrum of work environments: union and non-union shops, industrial facilities, aviation facilities, environmentally impacted sites, densely populated areas, and commercial infrastructure. He’s been recognized as a pioneer in the design of cutting edge purpose-built demolition equipment.
For Dave, the most rewarding part of his position is mentoring the next generation for the demolition industry and building long-term relationships—it’s also tough to beat blowing stuff up. He is currently engaged and looking forward to his wedding in February 2021. When he’s not hard at work, he enjoys boating and deep-sea fishing.
